Currently I head the UX group at Xactly for all 10+ Xactly products. Hiring and mentoring designers, UX writers and researchers distributed across various offices in the US, India and Canada. Launched the first ever overhaul of UX of core Xactly products leading to better business outcomes and customer satisfaction by bringing consumer grade experience to enterprise products.
Along with leading the UX team, I head the first ever design system at Xactly. Responsible for strategy, execution and leadership of the design system bringing cross functional alignment, accountability and consistency.
Having spent more than 15 years in the industry I can confidently say that most companies don’t understand the true meaning of UX. UX is treated as a visual or cosmetic change within a product. UX is being visualized as the “How” of a product and Product Management is considered to lead the “What” of any product. That is the biggest challenge I enable companies overcome by redefining their product development process, bringing close collaboration with the cross functional teams to define the “What” and”Why" - understand users needs and problems, identify key competitive differentiators and develop experience vision to drive key business goals. The ‘How” aspect of product is then elevated by designing cutting edge experiences and building a cohesive design system applying design thinking.
From designing the experiences to attract new demographics for Sears Holdings and Orbitz to designing and building my own social commerce startup itsPotluck, I have worked with cross functional teams, coached and mentored various teams and partners to drive key innovation initiatives that have proven business outcomes in terms of revenue and user engagement. From being rated the top manager in the organization recently, and having won the best site design award multiple times, I have helped transform Consumer and Enterprise companies using power of design. Currently I am looking for an organization that is hungry to transform their approach towards building products, open to ideas and suggestions, ready to “Move intentionally and build better things" instead of "Move fast and break things”.
